What the Heck Is a Feed?

Without going into too much geekiness, a feed (or RSS feed) stands for Really Simple Syndication. Feeds can be quite handy. There are many website I check frequently for updates, news, etc. It would take me all day to visit each site, making sure I didn't forget any, and scan the pages for new information. With a feed reader, all the new headlines are delivered automatically to me. It's kind of like getting the newspaper...sort of.

If you are interested in this sort of thing, do a Google search. While you're at it, open up a Google account. It's free and they have an excellent feed reader which stores your feeds online. This way, they are available from almost any computer. All you need is an Internet connection. If you have a question, no matter how small, send me an email & I can help you work it out.
